The Colorado Math Leaders will be sending out short meeting highlights and notes after each meeting this year. We hope this will help you feel connected when you are unable to make the meeting.

January 7, 2025 Highlights

Math Task: We tried something new this month! Dr. Raymond Johnson selected a video for us to watch and discuss from the lens of coaching points. It was great fun!

Committee Reports:

HS Math Pathways Taskforce:

• Working groups meeting monthly through May (January 27, February 24, March 31, April 28, May 19)
• Leadership team is currently working to develop priorities (actions, artifacts, products) to be executed between now and June. Working groups will execute these priorities.

CDE:

• The state board directed CDE to undergo a revision to the high school math standards. Anticipate an application to be on the revision committee in the next week or two.

CML Book Study:

• Figuring Out Fluency Chapters 5 & 6
• Next meeting: January 23rd 4:30-5:15

Major Work: CML provided feedback on curriculum adoption support that CDE is working to develop.
