March 4, 2025 Highlights
Math Task: We spent time thinking about 5th Grade CMAS released items and how they can inform instruction.
Committee Reports:
CCTM:
- CCTM's Summer Institute will be themed as "Every Learner Counts." It will be held June 12th and 13th at the Adams 12 Conference Center and registration is $101.
NCSM:
- Screenings for the documentary Counted Out are being hosted across Colorado, including Adams 12 (March 13), Wheat Ridge HS (March 14), and CU Boulder (April 22). NCSM is also holding a virtual screening on March 18.
CDE:
- The interest form for the 2025-2026 Powerful Practice cohort is now open.
CML:
- Board elections are coming up! We'll collect nominations for President-Elect and NCSM Representative in March and hold the elections in April. The newly elected board members will take their positions starting at the May business meeting.
Major Work: Tabitha Nickerson and Eric Price facilitated a discussion of the book Rethinking Disability and Mathematics.
